Who is Chris Degenaars?
Chris Degenaars is a Los Angeles-based marketing professional with over a decade of experience. Currently the Marketing Manager for Wilshire Law Firm, Chris brings senior leadership to driving holistic marketing campaigns. During his tenure driving Digital Experience Marketing for Giant Group Bicycles, the world's largest bicycle manufacturer, he was responsible for fostering brand loyalty and community through enhanced onboarding, loyalty programs, strategic partnerships, and personalized experiences. In 2023, he founded AAF Los Angeles, and currently serves as the President of the organization.
He’s an advertising ethics advisor, and on the Advisory Council for the Institute for Advertising Ethics. He started Degenaars Ethics Advisors to bring his expertise in global marketing programs and responsible advertising together, specializing influencer ethics.
He's widely recognized for his work with the American Advertising Federation (AAF), including as the Founder of Ad 2 SoCal and the 2022-2023 President of AAF Orange County. Chris has been a judge for the American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) from 2019 to 2025, and a judge for AAF District 10’s Mosaic Awards in 2022. In 2024, he was recognized for his commitment to the industry by being named one of SoCal's 32 Under 32 Professionals.
Prior to moving to LA, Chris Degenaars was the Director of Operations & Strategy for Long Drive Agency, and recognized as the youngest member to serve on the board of directors for AAF Dallas in its 110+ year history.
